Materials

Furniture by Steve Morris Designs is usually made with a metal structure, and incorporates a mixture of materials. Metal of some kind – stainless steel, powder-coated (painted) steel, aluminum, copper, brass – is usually strongly featured. Upholstered chairs and couches, glass-topped tables, wood and metal base tables, wood-framed built-in benches with stainless steel fronts – these are just a few of the options available, often customized to fit the space it’s designed for. For the Hudson Line, Steve chose beautiful driftwood, upturned roots, and turn-of-the-century bricks from the shoreline of the Hudson River, and integrated these elements into uniquely modern designs.

Finishes

Whether it’s a highly polished piece of stainless steel, or a more natural, patinaed finish you’re looking for, Steve Morris Designs offers a wide variety of looks for metal furniture. Metal does not have to look cold and sterile!

Design

Every piece of furniture is designed by Steve Morris, and fabricated at the Steve Morris Designs studio in Port Ewen, New York. Dining tables, coffee tables, end tables, chairs, mirrors, bars, built-in benches, and metal accents. Since much of the work is custom-ordered by clients and designers, Steve collaborates closely with his clients to create just the right seating, table, or decorative metal accent. When upholstery is needed, Steve works with experienced, local upholsterers who can deliver the level of perfection that the high-end designs demand. Some furniture pieces are available immediately from the Steve Morris Designs Hudson Valley showroom, and duplicates can be made. Other pieces are one-of-a-kind.
